 Just wanted to give you all a heads up on the Iowa Hawki Futurity. Sept 26-28, 2008 (Waterloo IA outdoor covered arena) GOOD NEWS! We have an increase in entries this year with 53 horses nominated to date. Our final deadline is Sept 1 (must be received by Sept 5) at that time we will announce how many paid in full entries we have. With 51 or more paid in full entries this 5 and under futurity will go to a 2 go round format (Fri Sat) with 25% of the horses returning to the short go on Sunday. Co-approved with the BBR and WPRA this futurity has $4500 added plus over $5000 in the HFBI purse. The futurity is open to ANY horse 5 or under that has not competed in barrel racing prior to Dec 1, 2007. INCENTIVES THIS YEAR INCLUDE ROOKIE RIDER AMATEUR RIDER IOWA BRED 4 YR OLD INCENTIVE COLOR BREED INCENTIVE HAWKI FUTURITY BREEDERS INCENTIVE (Saddle to winner donated by Saddles N Pads) Awards to top 10 in open futurity average. The Mn 01 Nbha open jackpot at arrowhead arena on June 29th has been cancelled. It will be rescheduled for a date in July or August. The next Mn 01 show will be held on July 11th and 12th at WIllow Creek Arena in Kimball Mn. Half hour sessions start at 5 on Friday night with the first run at 8. Stay overnight and run Saturday. Dave Loeffelholz passed away on Thursday from
his battle with cancer. Dave leaves behind his wife Sharon (Hultman)
and children Nina, 16 and Cole, 13. Dave is the uncle of Erin
(Hultman) Welken and Amber Hultman. The family extends their
gratitude for the thoughts and prayers received since the fundraiser held
last August at Oasis. Dave was 42 years old. Many of the barrel
racers donated to the benefit last summer. Donations exceeded $8000 which
was a HUGE help to the family as they pursued aggressive tratments at Mayo
the last few months. Family and friends are in our thoughts and prayers ~ eHorse & UBRA | ||||||||||||||||||
